We have been having lots of interesting and engaging
Learning through Play tasks on our topic 'Minibeasts' this week.
The children have had the opportunity to experience:
- modelling spiders using playdoh and various arts and crafts materials
- threading the spiders legs
- singing Incy Wincy Spider
- using flashcards to learn about new minibeasts and expand our vocabulary
- drawing butterflies (an opportunity to mark make)
- reading about Minibeasts; Superworm sensory story and 10 little ladybirds
- watching and learning some Makaton through Singing Hands - 'If I were a Minibeast'
- counting minibeasts and looking at all their wonderful colours
It has been a fun filled and busy week. Well done to everyone as each pupil has taken part and developed lots of new skills.
